Mini update.... Detail to follow!!!
Sv trash.
It's legal for another 12 mionths... so a summer's fun ahead. Needs a service first though.
GS trash.
Project foward pegs. Am pi**ed off with sore knees after long journeys on the GS... so have purchased a cheap set of foward foot pegs. Need some modification as I can't fith them with the brackets provded. More soon.
Triumph Trash.
New ignition coil is fitted and it's still running like a sack. Have now teraced another fault in the carb and am re-setting the carb. Found a very useful page on the amal website that shows the proper setup procedures for their carbs. Just need to fine tune hopefully.
New Project,
Still in the pipeline. Saving pennies to buy it now.....

Cheers.
Never found any issues with the gearing on the dreams. Prehaps it was just what I got used to.
A very mini update..... I fully intended to get the camera out and photo things that have been happening, but you know how it is, the sun was shining (a first for a few weeks) and the bikes were calling to be ridden so the photography got kind'a fogotten!!!
Triumph trash
New clutch cable and outer cover fittted. I'll get some pics. The weekend was mostly spent riding though. sunday was the highlight. Was the VMCC relay rally. Not being a member I couldn't take part, but decided to go and see the old bike at the loacl checkpoint. A good natter and a brew later I went on a ride around. Managed to overtake a maserati...... not many cubs can say that! Was an overtake in slow motion, he was doing 45 and I managed 50!!! Judging by the smell, he had a small fuelling ussue!!
Aside from that, I now have another garage. I need to get the old car stuff out and sorted.

Cheers. Never found any issues with the gearing on the dreams. Prehaps it was just what I got used to. Any headwind/hill and maintaining 70 mph it was 6th/5th/6th/5th/6th/5th used to drive me nuts - a few more BHP's and it would have been fine I reckon The 400 dream I had was so much better in that respect I did toy with either some moriwaki bits in it (because back in the day that was a quite fearsome buit of kit) or dropping a 400 lump in it but it was supposed to be a work hack so never did. Must do a my bike history sometime

Ok a few piccies. As the sun was out the bikes enjoyed it.... so did I. Spent most of saturday riding the Cub and the Sv. Triumph trash. Here is the aformentioned mod to allow the clutch cable to be changed without dismantling the engine. So simple but so effective. Why Triumph didn't do this is beyond me. Sv Trash. Being freshly serviced the Sv made a rare trip into daylight and a nice long blast arond the countryside. However this all means that this didn't get sorted: Next task. Clear the garage.....

Given the choice I'd have opted for the ride out as well

Update. Been a while, but have been clearing the garage.... just need to sell the remainder now. Back to the bikes. Triumph Trash. It's been running like a sack all year. After a run to the castle coombe steam fair I got fed up with it.... Time to start eliminating reasons. So out with a shiney new carb!!! Nice new Amal 622 concentric to replace the ageing (and worn) monobloc. This hasnt improved matters, but has eliminated the carb as an issue. So back to electrics. Am going to check the battery next. Jon W trash In the meantime I've been having classic withdrawl symptoms... so when asked if I'd like to ride a 1937 Velocette KTS to Crofton for a Velocette Owners Club meet I jumped at it. Two Pre-War KTS's surrounded by Vipers A line up of Venoms. A great potter through the lanes of wiltshire.
