Finding long tanks is always the bane of anyone trying to make a nice cafe racer rep, and you can just make one! how awesome

I think it looks like a flat tracker at the mo, its a good look, I can imagine it with wide bars and a tiny headlamp, knobbly tyres Your doing a fab job with it, look forward to the end result.

to my eye the pipe is too long, too high and too curvy, i feel it would look more period with the pipe crossing from left to right under the engine then coming up the right side finishing about inline with the rear spindle like the 60s motocrossers but made from straight sections with the changes of direction at the joins a bit like this bugger cant get link posted try an image search for tm 250 ttfn glenn try this www.suzukicycles.org/TM-series/TM250_brochures.shtml

Very interesting......so you been working on the expansion chamber eh. Did you start with an existing chamber or is it fully fabricated??
Got to give you credit on the depth you're going into and the research involved, as you were saying other day the shape and length changes the power curve and power band. takes skills that i will never have.
With a crosser its easy you can have the expasion chamber at front but the mz is harder to include it.
With a seat unit on looks like it will finish about flush with the rear but its just the angle of the upturn, needs a little more curve to it, but as i'm sure thats harder than just typing it ...yeah good job.
Edit Glenns TM has that curvier feel to it.

I see where your going now, and i like it! the pipe looks great like a 60's 'crosser but it also looks like theres gonna be no power, the down tube is too long and has no cone. motocross.transworld.net/files/2009/03/30/dsc02737.jpg < massive pic if you could make something like these? frankly i'd just buy a pipe, the complication of designing a expansion pipe is immense. I'm thinkin it looks like a 60's motcrosser thats been turned into a supermoto from the future, if that makes sense?
