colour......hmmm black and silver and ive ordered a spare set of dingdingdings just in case.....
jawas seem to be very cheap almost give away prices and the more i work on mine the more i cant see why, i know its not japanese standards of materials and engineering but if i was to design a bike for eastern european roads and society at the time this was designed (the manual covers 1967 to 1992,not a bad run)i doubt i could improve it ,very robust and simple to maintain, the mass manufacturers of of cars and bikes could learn lessons from this approach, ive got a mazda mx6 as a daily drudge mobile ,comfortable ,very well made ,reliable and absolutly soulless not to mention a complete pain in the nipsea to work on,changing the crank position sensor is a 3 hour job involving removing various belts ,tensioners and the dipstick tube, overly complicated no thanks im starting to love simple bikes easy to work on no special tools no computers i must be getting old....

front end is now complete:)and the sun came out i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g425/Grace_Philp/CRIM0002-3.jpg[/IMG]i really must order the tyres, bad news on the fuel tank front , i started to strip it for paint and found 30plus holes in it so im going to make a new one for it .....watch this space......... the seat will be recovered in black leather(thanks mam)as for the shape of the tank i think im going a bit lower and a bit rounder ,well see what it comes out like :)heres a final shot of its orignal tank seat and hump set up

finished making the tank, i used the original saddle section and built on that,20 pieces ,a lot of shaping ,tacking and swearing about red hot splatter going down the front of my boot and its done but not finishedmore seams to do and then the finishing..... im pleased with the lines and its nearly symetrical:)most of the wiring has been redone and connected apart from the reg/rec and rear light
