Well here she is and although she maybe over 20 years old she is a canny old girl and has aged a damn site better than me... i put a video up on Youtube of her in her glory and a brief bit with the engine running... thats when i remembered to pull the choke out like 2 strokes are in my blood and although i love some of the 4t machines theres nothing beats the sound and smell of a well sorted smoker.. ;D

Looking for something similar myself at moment, a Honda H100, Suzuki A100, GP100/125 kawa KH or a Yamaha RX, RXS100/125 or YB100, tuned right most these little bikes can do 70mph or a bit better. fast enough and cheap.
Dont seem to be many come up here for sale, well not at sensible cash.

Thats well clean, i attached a micron to my rxs from a kh125, just welded it to the rsx downpipe. not to hard to turn an rxs100 into an 115 135 or 175 if you got the crazys. I'm still gathering parts for a 175cc

Well today i took a trip to local breakers yard, bought myself a new project..... a 89 Yamaha RXS 100, good stuff... shes a classic stroker, all panels there and metalwork is reasonable... and its blue, not a red one (lol all the bikes i buy seem to be red and i hate red) bad points... she has a suzuki GS125 front forks and alloy wheel fitted with disk brake, shame cos i know original is only a drum, but i want her original, other bad point, she has low compression so needs a rebore and piston, i probably will pick up a 125cc top end to plonk on if it fits, in fact ill just rebuild the complete engine, new bearings, seals, and check over the gearbox, selectors and dogs. bargain gave them £120 notes he asked more... a fair bit more. im reckoning with a couple hundred quid of bits, time and love, ill have me a nice wee bike.
Best of all cheap to fix, cheap to run, and with a 125 top end and some work, she will be a genuine 80mph screamer, with enough go to shame most of the scooter brigade.

will take some pics of it tomorrow when they drop it off at the lockup, will need to give her a thorough going over to see what is what. then she can sleep till i collect what i need to get her sorted. ive decided a all out resto will probably be order of the day. assess, photograph, strip, bag up, replace the knackered fasteners all round with stainless, powder coat frame, swingarm, fork lowers (once i find the correct forks!) vapour blast the engine, ultrasound carb, and vapour blast, she needs a new seat cover as it split. and paint, new decals. i fancy a candy orange colour, but this aint original but it is very 1970s... and bike model is of 70s vintage even if she is a later example.
i will try to do her as cheaply as i can, so it will take a while to track down the correct parts at the right money, i haven't got the luxury of being a "how deep is your wallet" restorer, i guess most of us come into that category here, do it cheaply but decently.

yep i found the forum as well, very useful... heres my RXS.. I also got another Suzuki GS125 rear wheel, sprocket/cush drive and carrier, brake backplate/hub, so im gonna fettle the Suzuki rear wheel setup to fit the RXS so i can keep the front disk, i will be adding a small bikini type fairing, new badges, decals and glorious orange paint from a ford focus ST or a suitable 70s period metal-flake orange, she will perhaps being treated to a new Nikkon Expansion chamber exhaust, and a full engine rebuild, and maybe a capacity increase to 125cc, and if i can afford it, some proper porting and polishing.

Hmmm didnt know the GS125 forks had to be shortened, i bought the bike with them on, i will need to take some measurements to see. whats the standard length of your GS front end? so i can compare.

you sure you have gs bits? i know gs125 forks and wheels are narrower and won't fit rxs yoke. i think you have gn125 bits.
