yep deffo GS i owned a GS125 as my learner bike for 3yrs in early 90's, deffo GS front end, even indicators are GS, the guys in the breakers i got her from did the original mod work on her for the former owner, and they bought her when he decided to stop riding bikes, i do have to say the front end work seems very well done, just the front mudguard looks a bit "off" seems a tad to large for the bike.
with a bike like this i cant be a purist, i bought her as a cheap project, it would cost more to get her back to standard trim than buying a good original example would be, so ill mod her some more, use period parts, but pick the best of what was available if possible at the time. so no CBR125 front ends etc, but hey the GS was from same period, so no harm done and it improves the stopping power, especially if i warm up the engine a little. i do intend fitting a expansion chamber exhaust, cafe/flatrack style seat, bikini fairing etc, and try to remove some weight. more cc + less weight + some tuning work = ;D

i'm fully prepared to be wrong since suzuki could have changed anything in the production life of the gn/gs. this is the gs i had ('cept it was red) note the stamped top yoke. this is the gn i had these are the forks side by side, gn left gs right, gs might have the preload spacers taken out in this pic i can't remember. this is my rxs with gn forks and gs brakes and wheel. this was the only way i could get the rxs yokes to match up with suzuki front end. in the end i moded the gs yokes to fit so i could use the gs forks (better condition and shorter) have to whore this pic again

Right terraroot, can you tell me how easy it was to get the rear wheel to fit? as i have a GS rear, sprocket carrier, brake backplate etc, what spacers, jiggling was required to get the GS rear onto the RXS swinger, and to get all the sprockets to line up? also im guessing the RXS and GS sprockets are different sizes so what size of sprocket and how many teeth to get as near standard RXS drive ratio? after all why invent the wheel twice... bad enough fitting the wheel... also your solo seat, was it a pig to fit? im looking to do more a flatracker style or suchlike, but wanted to know how easy it is to fit a solo seat, any dimensions?

Had a nose around your blog terra,, can you give me measurements of what you took of the sprocket carrier? did you use standard Suzuki bearings or had to source different ones, if so where from? and how long is that spacer on the right? did you have to do anything to the RXS swingarm as i wasn't quite clear on that front? lol you was right, you were skimpy with details... i need accurate measurements as i will be depending on other people to machine things as i only have access to spanners, sockets, a drill and no fabrication facilities whatsoever, so i will need to give them instructions on what is needing done. i have some spacers already so i can mark up if they need some metal removed.

right i'm using the gs axle(and bearings), which fits the left side of the swingarm, but the other side needs a few mm filed off the top and bottom of the slot. best thing for you to do since the wheel might be different is do your own measurements. big flat piece of metal and a calipers. i took 6mm off the face of the sprocket carrier to align the chain, and i think the chain side spacer was 3mm, the other side is not so important i just filed it to fit.
