tip: lube everything! If you have pinched the inner tube, you can't patch it, the tear is usually too much. Check the rim inner for rust, small flake of it will ruin your day. Inflate the tube just till it takes shape, that makes it harder for the tyre iron to pinch it. I use washing up liquid for lube, not the best (salt, rim corrsion) but i tend to wear out my tyres quickly (partly because their shagged part worns in the first place!).

Just some pictures for you all. Excuse the quality, they were taken on my phone. Here's the rather nice new headlamp. Heres the new lockable gas cap (which may as well not have been ironically because it seals so well its a right job to pull out again) and the keyring I had to have. This is the front stabiliser not fitting And this is the center plate not fitting Apart from the fitting problems, alls good so far.

Take it its a case of poorly made pattern parts? or the bike is bent outta shape?. shame cos on the site the parts look good.

Nah apparently the stabiliser is for a more modern set of reinforced forks but it didnt say that on the page so im just gunna modify it to fit
As for the plate i think its a case of a poor moulding and bent bars so i need to sort that!

So far lately i've got through a brand new set of studs and all of the originals, because theyre made of shite steel and all have stripped, thus i cant get the head to seal and it wont start. Not doing well im afraid >_< Cheers for the interest though
