Iconic Retro sports / tourer m/cycle for sale.
This Kawasaki ZX10 was the cutting edge of bike design when it came out in the late 1980's as the successor to the infamous GPz900r, and predecessor of the ZZR series. This bike really is the best of all worlds: Equally at home in traffic on the commute to work, as a long distance touring bike or as a Sunday morning hooligan's toy (if you want to make full use of it's 160 mph + top speed). This is an incredably comfortable bike to ride and will cruise all day 2 up at 3 figure speeds (on the Autobahn, not in the UK, obviously!).
This is a 1989 (G reg) model in the rare and original blue and white livery. It is fairly standard apart from braided brake hoses, a Motad 4 into 1 exhaust and a polished alloy frame. There are a few small marks which are commensurate with it's age but overall it's a great bike in very good condition.
8 months MOT and road tax mean that this is ready to go. It will also be freshly serviced (booked in for a full service on 16th October). The bike has done just over 50k miles. Only known fault is the temp guage doesn't work - I'll ask them to look at it when it goes in for a dervice this week.
I can send more pictures by e-mail if required. To be honest, this was an impulse purchase by me (proving that lager and e-bay is a dangerous mixture), and as I already have 2 other motor bikes and 4 cars I don't really need it, so it's offered to the good folks of Retroriders for a bargain price before I put it up for sale on autotrader, eBay etc.
These retro classics are a good investment - prices for 1970's and 1980's superbikes are climbing fast so grab a bargain……..
