Okay guys. Since i've had the h100 it's been nothing but trouble when it comes to bulbs. you take it over 45 mph and it blows the headlight, you brake at 55 mph and it blows the brake light, take it above 60 and you'll blow the tail! It's a nightmare!
After hours and hours of scouring the internet, and almost £35 spent on bulbs, it has led me to the regulator. Popped the "regulator" off, and took it to a few bike shops around my area. They all said that it looks almost new, and it couldnt be that. I then took it to the most helpful biker place known to man - Martin's motorcycles. Martin's is located in the south of cornwall. He has a pile of old bikes, scooters and various other contraptions, which you can basically "pick and pay" for the bits. Since my last visit, his collection has halfed . He also has a small shop, stocking EVERYTHING you can imagine!
My friend purchased a suzuki gp125, and we needed to get points and condensor for it. 4 bike shops could order them in for a steep price of nearly £20 for both. Martin stocked both of them, for little under a tenner! bargain!
So I showed Martin this "regulator" and he instantly said "that's a cdi, not a regulator!". I was baffled, but he was right. After 30 seconds on google, i found out it was a cdi, just connected onto the regulator connector (same type fitting!). So i've ordered a reg off ebay, so there should be no more problems with the bulb!
So if you have a regulator on your bike, and you're blowing bulbs - make sure you know it's a regulator before you try and do anything to your bike!
