Starting with the smallest arrival. A 2005 Dax copy fitted with a Lifan 125cc 4 speed motor. The exhaust is paper thin and had a wee crack at the hanger. Tried welding it up but bought a OORacing steel/carbon pipe which should be here tomorrow along with a set of indicators and a complete tail light assembly. It's MOT'd and taxed till May.
The Dax was part of a deal with a decent chap in Yorkshire. He got my 1981 Z750 which I'd basically fallen out of love with over the last year. The motor needs new rings and the top end had been removed.
Currently, I'm running a 1987 Suzuki DR600 which is my first big traillie. Bought from a mate after he'd been using it as a field bike for two years. Did the tappets, oil change, rebuilt the front caliper, did the fork seals, swapped the rear knobbly for an Avon Distanzia and refitted all the lighting gear.
Here's one of the DR with a mate's Armstrong MT500
The next one is the CH125 Honda Spacy. Pulled out of the scrappy for £100. Swapped the knackered motor for a later CH150 motor, cleaned it all up, swapped out the headlight relay, replaced the belt and variator and recovered the seat. There's a grumbling bearing in the final drive that'll need done but it's nearly there.
Next is a 1979 DT175MX. A German import with less than 4000 on the clock. All standard down to the rubber caps on the axle ends. It has surface rust from being stored in a damp garage for a couple of years but will come up great. This years resto project.
One that went last year was the RGV250L. Another scrappy rescue. Replaced everything it needed. Couldn't get it to run over 6000rpm without cutting out. Sold it to make room. The new owner (mate of a mate) tracked the fault down by replacing the PV control box with a £35 2nd hand unit. I used to sit in the garage just looking at the RGV! How sad am I? :-)
