Having just joined this forum and brousing the rules, one question which springs up, is 'What is retro'?
My bike is a 1998 Ducati ST2, so does that qualify. I do like older bikes as opposed to new one's, especially as I cant afford a lovely new bike!
I am hoping to build a cafe racer next year based on a BMW R80, so hopefully that will be very retro. Until, hopefully the Ducati will count?
Ta ta, Mark.

Hehe this question came up when I first created the forum. I think the general consensus was that most things can be retro despite perhaps being a little newer then the tag would suggest

Well my ST2 is one of the very earliest bikes, and they are pretty rare, which is shocking, because it is proving to be a brilliant bike. Many have reached 100,000 miles with the correct servicing, which for an Italian is pretty impressive.
My brother made a cafe racer a few years ago based on a Yamaha xs650, and I am planning to make one this year based on a BMW R80, so we both like the retro scene, so I think I'll enjoy being on here.

Welcome to the forum chap, impressive selection of bikes you've had. The cafe project certainly sounds interesting too.
