Unfortunately the little GN decided this morning would be a good time to snap it's throttle cable After pushing the ol girl over mile back home a qucik removal of the throttle grip confirmed this. I've ordered a new cable from Wemoto which should arrive tomorrow. ;D My question what sort of lubrication should I use, presuming I should lubricate it before fitting. Would conventional WD40 be ok or should I use something a bit 'thicker'? Thanks.

there are two types of cable, you might end up with a teflon lined cable which needs no oil, and an older type cable which i usually oil with some bog standard engine oil.

Cheers Terra, not sure what type I'll get. Just gave Wemoto the model & reg & he said he had one in stock which should hopefully arrive tomorrow. Old oil it is then if needed.

Well that was easy, seat & tank taken off. Old cable came out easy & the new one was fitted without any trouble. Gave it a run up the road & all seems well, no revving when steering or anything so I guess it's fixed.
