Saw my first one of these a few weeks ago (someone visiting the company a few doors down from where I work). Went to see the mother in law in Malvern this weekend & saw another cruising through the high street with a Triumph Truxton (loved that too), then saw 2 parked up just outside of Buckingham on the way home (parked up with about 20 odd other bikes). I'd not heard of these bikes before, dunno why but I'm in love with them. ;D Here's the bike in question; From what I've read these run a 1200cc & aren't a particularly good machine, , regardless of this I really love them.

All Buells look a proper hooligans tool. Never ridden one though I think I'd like it ;D

made by buell with harley engines i though, so the engines are shite (narrow powerband, out of breath very early, lots of vibes, not what you could call reliable) but the chassis are sublime, sneakily always wanted one myself.
buell are dead now so get one if you can and hold onto it, just don't use it as a DD

Not just me that has a liking for them then. ;D I thought they used Harley engines, shame the guy didn't opt for a descent Jap 1100 or something.

Rotax is a part of the same company as Harley Davidson.
Having ridden a 1200 and a 900 Lightning, I found the 900 far the better. The 1200 went well but was short on revs and had quite a narrow powerband. The 900 revd better and didn't seem any slower..... the biggest issue I had though was the cruiser gearbox. It was horrid! Fine for slow changeing a HD I'm sure, but no good for the quick changes you need in a sports bike.

Didn't think about the box to be honest...........Still like the look of these, despite the Harley 'flaws'
