I spend a fair bit of time on the Retro rides car forum - thought it was about time I introduced myself here
Very much a fan of low-tech (cars, bikes, anything really...) so I often have something quirky on the go.
Currently watching the spending hence the car is on the road (1972 Hilman Hunter estate - gives you a feel for the type of stuff I go for) but no road-legal bikes at present
Last bike I got rid of was a Honda VT500 (1980s V-twin 500 with custom styling ), it got me hooked on V-twins so now have a SV-650 ready for when I have spare cash.
Not sure how long the SV will last as i always seem to keep returning to bikes from the 70's and 80's
Was also running an old beast of a ZZR1100 at same time as the VT500, bought as a dog and rebuilt over the winter into a tidy bike. Nice, lazy, but very under-rated, even managed to ground it on a couple of trackdays at Croft
Have been keeping busy recently looking at bikes for other folk, just finished putting a very clean barn-find "Easy-Rider" moped back on the road, now sorting out a couple of Italjet "Junior Cross" bikes for the kids
Have been a member of "NorthEast Restoration Car Club" for a few years, very handy as they have a very good workshop and facilities for stripping and painting, they Italjets may be getting a repaint before they get put back together
Will put up a couple of "readers rides" threads, expect some pics once I get organinsed* (might take a while )
Have fun, ride safe
