I was encouraged to make a build thread by a few guys when I introduced myself so here you go
The first picture is of when I first got it, I was 11, early 2006.
My Dad had bought it from a friend who deals in motorcycles for £40 as a non runner.
I never saw it when he first got it as it was a preset but by what he said, it was in a pretty bad way as it had been stored in a bad state for atleast 10 years.
It's a picture taken from a roll film photograph so I'm sorry for the bad quality
The second picture is of when my Dad had changed a few things, he has a city and guilds in engineering and has worked at the same engineering firm for 25 years so it was no problem making some small changes.
-Rear mudguard cut
-Bracket made for front mudguard, bolted onto the forks.
-Storage box removed from the undersid of the seat and a bracket was made for it to be bolted to the frame.
-A new exhaust was built, yes, I know it's a 4 stroke exhaust but my Dad found it dumped round the back of his factory at work and built on it; the down pipe and manifold was made from scratch as incase it went like crap with the 4 stroke exhaust we could always put the original back on. It was extended and a bracket was made to bolt it over the shock mounts.
- An Amal throttle off his friends MZ ETZ and Renthal grips.
- Pair of handle bars from an old Yamaha trials bike.
-A knobbly tire was put on the front for extra grip (I like sliding it around so wanted more grip on the front )
- Oh and I took off the stand as I couldn't find a spring for it and I prop it up against things anyway
Next pictures are from re-spraying the headlamp cowl and mudguard black
And I don't know why I put a Renthal sticker on it so don't ask, my Dad got it when he had the chainwheel replaced on his Fazer so I just stuck it on my 'ped XP
Oh and here's a picture of my dads garden one winter, can you believe the grass grew back thick and fine of its own accord a few months later?
And that's about it at the moment, planning on re-covering the seat and would love a 70cc bore kit if I could affordone
Thankyou for reading
