Just a small update ..Had a few Days R&R and not realy got into the Puch.Tyres now arrived and fitted, managed to get a hold of a pair of M45 Michelins at a good price thanks to the boss and have ordered a Chrome box section swingarm from YPVSpares . Most other bits are ready to be fitted but still need petrol tap and fork brace both of which will be coming from same place as swingarm when it lands with him.Mr Simmo has completed spraying the frame and is now working on the small mudguard extension for the rear...!

Well Simmo (Big thanks mate for getting it so right!) finished the frame and the carbon fibre short rear guard and he fitted the raised letter badges he made for the Puch.I have to say the finished result has exceeded my expectations by miles!! The guard and badges compliment the colour perfect ..When I went to collect it that first glance just threw me as its just looks so good in the flesh...Only problem is it looks so good I may stick it up on the living room wall ! Anyway a couple of pics to show how well it works.!

That is looking sweet, very nice badges, i'm concerned about the big frame brace how is it attached to the head stock?

TerraRoot...Good question..! They are apparently a generic fitment for most step through pedal and pops..The Brace is fixed at the rear but the front is a half circle that is adjustable on threaded bar and once I have adjusted the semi circle to sit neatly around the front stock its a simple matter of winding it out till secure ...Not ideal and to be honest and not sure if I even like it now I have it on the Ped.It will perform what its intended to do however ( could put a couple of tack welds on to make it secure) but will get the rolling chassis together and decide then.. ;D

I think the head stock will move away from the seat stem under heavy braking, so as a brace not so good, unless like you say it could be welded in place. however as a knee brace for cornering, somewhere to brace your outside leg as your hang off on the inside would be very good.

I did think about rooting around upstairs at work where there is an assortment of aprilia Rs , Cagiva mito parts for a disc setup but then it means getting hubs machined etc and in all honesty the only reason I can think of why I started this project was to do something different...Even with the mild engine tune its only realy going to be capable of nudging 45 to 50 Mph so with a little forward planning and not falling asleep at the bars things should be ok..!! The stoppers should work fine with uprated shoes from EBC ..However I can reveal my backup plan should things take a turn for the worse!
