Hi all, some time back a guy called Retrowagen of the Retrorides car forum got hold of a Puch maxi and decided to modify the little beast..I thought what a neat idea so a while back started looking and came up with a 72 Maxi S localy..Started looking on the net and found they popular in the states and a few other countries. After a few enquiries found a guy who could supply the parts I was looking for and decided to give it a go..Heres the bike in question.. This pic was taken as it was when dropped off at work..Looked like this soon after The frame is at a friends being sprayed and having custom tank badges and short rear mudguard done..(had planned to do the spraying myself in purple..Now in his hands and yellow!) So today the first of the parts arrived thanks to Martin at YPVSpares. He supplied the EBR forks,Biturbo pipe,EBR frame brace,15mm Carb,60cc Kit and the Rear shocks ...(not the 46 year leg and comfortable slipper in the lower corner of pic) so as soon as the frame is back I can start bolting all these to it and write an update!

Thanks for the welcome guys...My plan is to have something a little more european in looks. flat bars , Race style seat and doing away with the pedals as I have a kickstart motor to replace the original one .Going with round style headlamp from later model and rear light and numberplate off the seat unit.Maxi was never fitted with brake light but it appears that it will now need one unless I go for just a daytime MOT .Because of the low lighting output from the coils plan is to find somewhere to fit a 6 volt battery to power just the brake light.Would have liked mag wheels from later sport model but they hard to get and quite expensive...
