Well here are my new acquisitions...my 1994 C90 And the 2 new peds ive cut a deal for... guys offshore at moment but i will have them soon. and finally my wee triumph T10 that i am in process of restoring, here she is as found. The cub will be my daily driver, so she will basically just be tidied up, a damn good service, replacement of tyres, brakes and cables, she has a new exhaust and kehlin carb fitted, and the owner gave me a rickman screen with her (needs a new perspex screen) i will run her as is until i aquire the parts on the cheap to rebuild her next winter. The 2 peds i intend to rebuild the engines off, new pistons, cylinder hone, rebuild the Variators and basically clean up and MOT... then sell one on and keep one as spare to the cubby. The T10 is a slow burn project, collecting the required parts to restore her will be a longer operation, some are scarce or non existent.. so alternatives need to be sourced. once complete she will be more a show/sunday afternoon bike. if i sell on one of the PX50s i think i will try to get either another old honda, express, chally or PC50 or a puch maxi.. can ya tell i like my lightweight bikes

Ah sammo has the single colour T10.. which has the welded on legshield type, only bodypart i need is a dent free bolt on offside legshield mechanically my T10 is complete and good, and a runner, it starts... only spares i needed were new crank seals since the 40yo ones will be shot, my bore is fine no need for oversize pistons, and i found alternatives for bearings, seals, got gaskets set on order, and only resto needed really is spray painting and some panel beating... got relatives with body shop to do the dents and paint.... my T10 cost me 10 quid lol... i like to buy bikes on the cheap... im scottish after all we are canny with our cash. dearest was the cub at £375 with mot and tax lol bought 2 XS650 yams for £250... i like to keep any purchase to bellow 500... i wait for right parts at the right price. and do all the fettling rebuilding work myself.

So far as in regarding my cub... she has 13,980 miles on her backed up by old MOT's, and receipts for parts labour in past, from initial inspections in cold hard light of day, she has minor rust and paint flacking around rear mudguard, but the crucial suspension mount area is intact... but theres a special plate in the area that joins the plastic rear section to the front metal section of mudguard that is corroded (its designed to do that to protect the suspension mounts) but luckily one of the members of the C90 club has a new one, and has offered me a rear section of the correct frame type in case i need any "repair panels" i would need to weld in to my own rear frame... another member has also offered me a complete spare frame and V5, as well as a swingarm and front forks all of correct type.. im gonna take these parts while there going cos price is right. im also sourcing new rear adjustable shocks, LED bulbs for Taillight and indicators and a halogen front light, and heavy duty EBC clutch plates... next up will be a new 2 tone seat cover, and original rear cub indicators (it has bandit ones fitted at moment, functional but incorrect) and needs new reg plate as one on it is cracked. im thinking she will need another £250 spending on her to get her in great condition, i don't grudge it as mint low mileage cubs are going for 650+ and right now i couldn't afford that right out, least this way i get to spread the cost out. i wanna fit decent tyres to her, new brakes and cables and tidy up the paint, during winter she can go for a complete respray at moment i just want a daily runner... and do the minimum to stop her corroding any more and keep her running sweet, ill gather the parts for a complete tear down n resto during the summer ready for winter layup and rebuild. priced some canvas saddle bags on ebay, come in olive green but ill dye em black with a wash in dye. £14 quid so not bad. also been offered some mag type wheels for the PX50's and some other parts from another C90 club member, but the guy im getting them off said theres a load of spares to come with em. and i got a guy that will help me replicate the decals as they don't seem to be available anywhere.
lewisweaver, great choice of bike, nows the time to pick a good one up before they really start to go for silly cash... so much more character than a new plastic scooter. when you buy, just make sure you try and get a low mileage one, preferably owned by a older person, and check all the usual fault areas... up by rear shock top mount... get right in there and poke around, take a small fridge magnet to check the metal areas... shows up bodgery with fibreglass filler... also check swingarm, and front forks, seen a few with bent front forks. and check the main frame downtube, as it can rot out, especially where it joins the pressed steel rear guard section... as said there is a special plate fitted in the intersection area of plastic and metal parts of rear end... that is easily sourced and replaced. ideally i would have wanted a bike in better condition but few n far between up here, and i had to make do with what i could get, least i knew frames can be picked up and fixed readily enough. and my engine is good.
