Looking to buy a good condition (well not rotted through) Honda C90, C70, or Yamaha Townmate T80, Suzuki FR80, or a Honda Chaly or Dax 70. basically want a small stepthrough to potter around the town on, i own a Triumph T10 in process of restoring at moment but it would not be practical daily transport. so im looking for a steppy to use as a daily runner. i would also be interested in any old mopeds, honda express, pc50, suzuki or yamaha peds from 60s or 70s
I am up in north east scotland but will be willing to pay for the transportation by courier of a suitable bike id rather not deal with ebay as i want to be sure i aint buying some tarted up expensive pile of scrap. im looking for a sound roadworthy machine or one that would need minimal work to put through a mot.
Email me on billystewart1973@msn.com with any infor or photos

Well i think i may have found a wee Honda Cub 90... sorta cut a verbal deal with the guy, awaiting photos, but from what i been told it sounds decent, MOT'd and taxed, owned by same older fellow from new, new kehlin carb, new OEM exhaust, downsides.... bandit 1200 indicators on rear.. so that will need remedied... and the area around suspension mounts at rear isnt crunchie just yet, but he admits the pain has minor blistering so that will need fixing pronto before it does go. i will be getting some photos of the bike tomorrow and if im satisfied with what i see i will be taking a 40 mile drive to go see her and take her away at a good price.
Long term plans for this steppy.... well fix the tinworm and get her as a daily driver, long term, strip, get frame blasted, hot dip galvinised, and a new outfit, probably in elephant grey, cream side covers, cream and dark grey single seat, extra small square fuel tank fitted where pillion seat would be (small lawnmower type sq tank 2ltr or so) ive seen 72 spoke cub wheels on ebay, shame there 80 quid each! and 50 postage... eek but i gotta have em! i wanna add chrome trim around edging of mudguards and legshield, older style round light handlebar (need to remember to change bulbs to 12v) and older style indicators front and back. engine rebuild, 110cc head, crank balanced, bigger valves, bigger mikumi carb, new bearings, and cluth rebuild all round. and uprated shocks and springs for front end. and polishing, lots of polishing.
I will post a project thread if she turns out to be a good un with a couple of pics of "as bought" state

Well me mothers cousin called tonight, his son is the one with the body shop Kintore auto body (you may know it Derek being in that trade) and he happened to mention in passing he has a 125 plastic fantastic scooter sat in garden with slight accident damage, his nephews son had a low speed "off" on it at the thainstone roundabout.. so has sat in his garden shed for 6 months with a cracked plastic and a kaput rear indicator, from what he said its a peugeot speedfight or such. yuck!but i know a young student lass desperate for a 125 to travel from newburgh to gordon barracks college campus, so it may suit her if i patch it up and get it mot'd but more interesting he mentioned his neighbour has a old puch or tomos in the garage and wants rid for nowt, so if its a puch maxi i may take it off his hands and fix her up for me niece as a summer putt putt, she can come along with me on the cubby (shes 16 so a fifty is all she can have) so hes gonna get some details of it and ask if i can take it off his hands.
Derek i have a ad running in scot ads this week, for a cub wanted, but since i seem to have found one, i remember you mentioned you might like a decent one... so if i get offered a nice sounding one i can take details and pass it on to ya? if your still interested. and its local area

Ive already spoke to the seller, and he said the numbers have been defaced/sort of removed. It was probably stolen at one point, then used off road. It would also cost quite alot to get all the parts for the road aswell.

Would a Transalp/Tenere not be a little more realistic/user freindly?. A mates got a Beemer R1200 GS which I've rode a few times and it's a fantastic allrounder..... even made me look like Ewan McGregor ;D ;D ;D
