2020 has been a year full of difficulties and anomalies for the advertising industry , where the COVID-19 pandemic fell like a bomb back in March and the debris caused by the explosion of such a thunderous shell is still being collected. In recent months, a good part of the agencies have been busy devising sometimes absolutely draconian savings plans to face a crisis that caught everyone off guard. In light of this new and gloomy context, somewhat more edged with optimism in the final stretch of the year , agencies have logically put saving the thousands of jobs that the coronavirus has put in check over registrations (of everything but cheap) in creativity contests that, according to gossip, do nothing but feed the excessive ego of advertisers . In 2020, the once buoyant festival circuit has also folded its wings. Cannes Lions, the mother of all advertising festivals, decided not to lift the blinds this year . Nor did competitions such as the LIA Awards, the Clio Awards and El Sol roll out the red carpet in 2020. Other festivals chose, on the other hand, not to turn off their engines and opted for virtual, hybrid and also in-person editions (although in a very minority way) .
Even so, in most of the competitions that avoided cancellations in 2020, a more notable decline in the number of registrations was felt. In this unusual context, the annual creativity rankings should be taken with more Phone Number List caution than ever. And not only because awards are not naturally the measure of all things in creative matters but because in a year as unprecedented as the one we are about to leave behind, the festival frenzy of the agencies has diminished more than noticeably. Sioux meet Cyranos and DAVID Madrid, on the podium of Spanish creativity in 2020 Even so, and since 11 of the 15 festivals that MarketingDirecto.com puts under the magnifying glass to prepare its annual creativity ranking have been held after all, we wanted to maintain our annual appointment with the calculator to take stock of the creative performance of the national agencies over the last year knowing, however, that the results probably offer only a partial portrait of what 2020 has given from the point of view of creativity. In any case, and with the calculator in hand (which in no way has the last word), two agencies have risen to the top of our ranking this year with the same number of points (416): Sioux meet Cyranos and DAVID Madrid.

Sioux meet Cyranos , the first agency on the list along with DAVID Madrid, owes such a privileged position in the ranking to one of the campaigns that caused the most talk (for the better) in our country during the quarantine hidden from the coronavirus: « Money is not “It is money” for Bankinter .
