Oooooh! Intamacy!
Not that I am reccomending this at all, but we used to have melodies - well, my mate had a melody and I had a Honda runaway (which was an awesome little bike - both 50's), and we used to have a little air bottle with a hose going in the carb air inlet. She go some then! Mind you, we were grotty little urchins, we did use them off road, we were about 14 and yes, they both blew up, so maybe not reccomended, but I got my little runaway to do some insane speeds (for a moped) before it finally blew up (took a while though!)

Well, if "whats it go like" is referring to speed, i know it goes 30 Dare i say i'd like to derestrict it, but i wouldnt know how to go about it. *he watches as the legal to the letter forum members come along to tell him off *

Ok some interweb work turns out that it in fact isnt restricted as such, its that its built to go 30. Teamed with that and the fact they arent as commonly used as other honda mopeds mean you cant get tuning parts for them. So i think i'm gunna buy myself a secondhand cheapy expansion pipe, and weld that to the original pipe (as you cant get one for a melody obviously).
Also, apparently a honda vision 80cc carb fits, so i'll do that if i can.
But thats something for the future, after i turn 17 i'd like to swap the engine for something with better parts availibility and that way it would be easier to tune.

Thats exactly what im doing mate! haha. Myne will do 35 on a slant (downhill), and 30 on the flat. Also no de-restricting. I am currently in the process of modding an expansion exhaust (from a piaggio nrg) to my bike. I will keep you informed of how it turns out. Also i reccomend upjetting the carb? Message me for more details mate

I had one of these for the field , was a insurance write off. it had holes in the seat , exhaust and lights , went pretty well for a 50cc , i gave £10 for it lol..
I do like your melody mate , looks sweet.

Cheers man, a LOT of people seem to use these for field bikes, which is understandable i guess, theyre pretty rugged.
