My most recent acquisition, what I think is a 1979 Kawasaki KE100. It was on ebay very locally and I put a bid on and ended up winning it for very little. It's in really quite poor condition, the engine is seized, the tyres are perished the front brake mechanism is missing as is the dynamo cover. I'm not quite sure what to do with it, but it might be a fun little project. Anyway, Pics:

You have a bit of work to do there. I am sure we used a few of their engines for kart racing but I can not remember if they were disc or read induction, we moved on to 100RX Yamahas after that, I guess there was more of them about at the time.

I managed to remove the barrel which was very well seized onto the piston. There is very little scoring and the piston is intact, so they may be reusable. I'm not sure what caused it to seize as there is 2 stroke oil in the tank so presumably it wasn't run with straight petrol. Also, the piston won't go back into the barrel, so I'm wondering if the piston was a new one which was too large.

I don't suppose it is easy to get a manual and check bore and piston / clearances against standard.

Looks like a bit of work but should be a fun little machine when running.
