The bite point on the Thundercat seems really low down, the lever is released literally a few mm and the clutch is engaging. The previous owner dropped the bike when she pulled up at a fuel station, snapping the end off the clutch lever. I'm wondering if the lever bent at an angle so that it went under/over the grip and stretched the cable, sound possible(?) Reading up on tinterweb it suggests that the clutch can be adjusted with the nut next to the lever but also at the other end, any ideas? The clutch itself seems fine, not struggling to change gear and no slipping.

right, i think the thundercat has the clutch cable going down to the left side, near the sprocket cover, if it is, it could have a nut with a bolt that has a philips head on it to adjust, loosen the nut and tighten the philips head. ( then tighten the nut)
get me a pic straight down of the lever, tell ya if it's bent back or not straight away.

Yup, spot on. Clutch cable runs on the left, inside the fairing and 'disappears' near the front sprocket cover. I'll hopefully get a photo up tomorrow of the lever.....Lost the USB cable and (still) waiting for it to come in the post. Need a new lever eitherway so best get myself over to Wemoto.

c**k on Terra, the lever was bent towards the grip thus not fully engaging/disengaging the clutch. Changes lovely now, always finds neutral when I pull up, which used to take around 30-40 seconds to do.

There's a thought ;D I was supplied with the wrong fecking lever Short term 'bodge' was to chop the old lever down a bit so now it doesn't touch the grip. The only downside is the lever is now less than half the lenght it should be but it feels like a new bike so I'm happy.

Tighten the clutch adjuster. Make sure you have son free play when the lever is fully out though or you'll have a slipping clutch

I pulled the clutch in on the way home the other night, gave it the berries & let the clutch back out. It engaged immediately with no slip, still can't believe how different it feels.....Just need a free afternoon on a weekend now to go and play properly I have had someone asking if it's for sale, really got no intentions of selling her for a while as she does everything I need. Have been looking at VFR's recently as a mate sold his not so long ago but I can't justify an 800 for the short commute I'm doing, the T'Cat is a comfy ride even over a long distance so I'll stick with her for now.
