well no slip now in any gear New lever fitted (not bent) made a difference to the feel of the brakes but I think a fluid change first and then if that doesn't improve the brake feel some new pads are on the cards as the brakes just lack bite (maybe the anti dive effect but they don't stop as effectively as I'd like) Going back to an earlier post you wrote Nothing wrong with 16" wheels, most of the bad press they got was from 16" front wheels being fitted to machines that were design for 18" wheels all round, just make sure you have radials and the right pressure in both tyres (the pressure recomended by the tyre maker not the bike) 3psi either way can make a huge difference. How right you are sir Front was a little low and the rear was a lot low so reset to factory settings (OE equipment tyres on it so should be a good starting point of 32 psi front and 36 psi rear What size tyre are on it at the mo? Tyre Make/Model and size Front Dunlop K825A 110/90 V16 Rear Dunlop K825 130/90 V16 So both std OE equipment (I wonder how old they are - anyone know how to read the markings on the side to determine the age of them??) Bikes gotta take a back seat for a week or so as I have a monza to fix ready for the next track day this thursday - tonight I've been straightening the roof and fitting a replacement screen - doesn't look pretty but it'll keep the rain out bettter than the temporary polythene sheet I lashed up after I rolled it

sweet shots, looks like he got onto the curb. Yeah I think you may be right - I thought he'd just lost the front getting on the power early have you ridden the gpz yet with the tyre psi set? Yes - much better but still not right (to me and this really could just be me ) Rear end is still to stiff (adding air or increasing the damping above min just makes it worse - a lot worse - but I'm not very well built (11 stone with leathers and helmet on) so linkage strip down and rebuild next - give me chance to check the shock action/condition too. I've currently got the front forks all the way through the top yokes into the handlebar assemblies - I'm also thinking of dropping them down so they are just proud of the yokes (increasing air pressure in the front to max makes it better on turns but it rides awfull so I'm sure a movement in that direction would help) - probably the wrong terminology but I just want to slow the front end down as I just don't like it - feels like it wants to fall into the corners and I've no confidence in it............. Hey but on the plus side it's getting better as I fix/improve things and it's quite a lot of fun, makes a nice noise and it's no slouch on the road so I'm quite glad I got it.

Reminds me must do a thread on my other retrobike that does go round corners like I want it to - in fact just think about it and it turns Doesn't look like that now as 1. It's become a triggers broom - everything including the frame and number plate has been changed over the years and 2. It's still not back together

Well 180 miles now covered - time to fill up
15L
so that's ~55mpg
Chuffed with that - it's my most economical transport ;D
Having filled up I had a couple of people to see about car related issues and once I'd seen them both I sort went for a ride - ended up in Kings Lynn (used to live there) so called in to see an old friend who I haven't seen for at least 10 years - good job he hadn't moved......)
Nice cuppa and a quick catch up and it didn't seem like 10 years after 10 mins
