Hi, wondering can anyone advise me ? Having a aluminium made but need to know what the best fuel tap method? Can I buy ready made ally boss to weld straight on any were or will I have to tap it myself if so whats best metric or BSP, any advise would be great, thanks.

step 1 buy tap. step 2 get who ever is making the tank to make the previous said tap to fit. step 3 show us some pics.

The tank is going to be small about 1.5L capacity but thinking it will look stupid being so fine with a bit tap stuck on the end? I'm making all the parts of the tank so keep costs down hence can't deside what to do?

maybe an inline fuel tap? most bog standard taps (with reserve) are like this: they need an oval hole for the pickup and two nuts welded inside the tank i still have no clue what your doing, so i can't comment on what looks wrong, how the hell does the thread pitch got anything to do with how it looks? what tap are you looking at?
