Hello, long time poster on RetroRides under the same username, so most may know me. Recently turned my hand to 2 wheel adventures, using the mighty Zontes Panther to gain my A license wings... Naturally, that is not how i bought it, rather the end result of a total strip down, new brakes, front light, respray, chain, sprocket... the list goes on. All was rosy until... Some delightful chap in a Ranger decided a single track road was totally fine to barrel down the middle of round a blind bend. No, they didnt stop. In truth, the bike faired better than me. It hit the grass and just flopped on the soft stuff. I kept myself on the tarmac and suffered the bruises. Luckily, the bruises healed and I progresed onto a full license and in the murks of this winter obtained this: A lesser spotted Yamaha BT1100 Bulldog. Might not be particularly retro in 2004 guise but you certainly dont see many of them. Anyway, been out in it as much as I can (maybe too much for a new rider in the depths of winter but you have to learn all weather riding!!) and I'm certainly looking forward to summer!!
