Really really fancy one of these Yamaha FJ1200 1987. Got my eye on one at 1200euros looks mint. Anybody got one or any info to push me over the edge would be appreciated thank.

Looked at getting one of these before I bought my GSX, I like them! Never actually owned/rode one, but I see them quite often on the road now.

I like them too, very easy to upgrade with later wheels/brakes/suspension. i believe the fj owners club is very helpful with what fits where.
wanted a xjr1200 myself.

Im on my 3rd FJ1200 i love them to bits, 150mph not a problem 0-100 8 seconds, ride them with a bit of care 40mpg, these bikes will pull in top gear from 30mph, my baby is the 3xw ABS model i find it a very comfortable stable riding Motorcycle, these Bikes will do what you ask from them, fantastic tourers that can still go balls out and give you a buzz and make the adrenalin pump if need be, they bare also very easy to work on so if you do your own maintenance you cant go wrong, buy it you wont regret it

OH YES!!!!! Offer accepted. Still to see the bike. The guy seems a nice bloke and the youtube video puts it across as a nice well looked after machine. He's a Wee bit away from me but offered to meet up. Anyway thanks for all the advice and hopefully should be mine in a week or so Cannae wait ( I still miss my old Zephyr )

give it time, sometimes people who are selling just don't have the same priority's as yourself. hell i just bought a series IIa, i'm bouncing about like child on crack, he said he'd be here at 10:30, WHY ISN"T HE HERE NOW!!?
