My DT's coming back together! Just checking the loom while waiting on some headlight brackets at the moment, should be ready for an MOT soon.

Good news on the MOT, are there many places near you to take the bike off-road?

Yeah, plenty of green lanes, though less than there were a few years ago. Salisbury plain too when the army aren't lighting it up. Had a vitara a few years ago, it was much easier to read the map in that so i've had a good explore!

Two days out on the bike this weekend, even in the horrible rain yesterday! Got back today after about 10 miles on the road and gave it a wash, forgot the clean picture though. Need to get some 250 stickers now.

stickers? change the engine to a 400 instead lol
it's great it's getting real use, one day i'll have something similar, maybe a modern gasgas 200/250/300, something good for wheelies.

I have a yz or similar 360 i think its marked as, that would fit with a bit of fiddling, but i don't want to take it too far from original. Got through 20litres of fuel this weekend and one plug so its getting some use. I will be investing in a set of tyres, the 10yr old pretty worn ones struggled in the mud this weekend.

i've a twin shock dt400, but it's been totally raped, it would be nice to play with but it really is gone to far, (and 19bhp srsly?)
i'd keep that 360 top end until the 250 one is worn out, try find a decent s/h yz360 pipe too and you'd be sorted.

I've got a 1979 DT175MX, 4000 miles, totally original down to the rubber caps on the axle ends. It's getting restored this year once I've got the Honda Spacy MOT'd and the Z750E top end rebuilt. Looking forward to getting the DT done as I wanted one when I was a spotty oik! :-)

Can't get a spark on this bike now! The rectifier has melted for the 2nd time somewhen over the weekend, i guess its the reason the battery ran flat. First time round i think it was a bad earth but I've since cleaned those up...
