Regretably my Pearl Rhythum Traveler drum kit is up for sale, I played the drums a few years back and decided at the start of this year to get a kit and get back playing again. As space was a consideration & I also want to stay friendly with my neighbours I decided to buy this kit, I did try out various electric kits but for what they offered (quiet/silent practice) the price to buy something descent was not viable. The advantage of this kit is that you have the best of both worlds, a silent kit to practice your grooves, rudiments and patterns. this can be done silently as the kit is supplied with mesh heads, these heads are very responsive, alot more so than an electric kit, the 'bounce' is the same as a normal drum head so the 'feel' is the same. Then when you want to jam or maybe even play some live stuff you simply swap the mesh heads for the conventional drum heads & hey presto! You've got a live kit! Pearl provided plastic cymbals to accompany the silent practice, I didn't get one too well with these so I have been using the Pearl CX200 cymbals (proper cymbals) with dampening pads.
I have owned sevral kits in my time & the construction of this kit is superb, the lugs and shells are a good quality, the hardware that is included is more than capable of keeping everything is situ regardless of your playing style (I'm quite a hard hitter & haven't found any issues with the hardware).
The shells are black with chrome, also included is the kick (bass) pedal and I have some sticks that I'll throw in and a drum groove book (upto grade 2 level so nothing too advanced). The condition is very good, there's a bit of dust so would benefit from a dusting down. The mesh heads are in great condition and have alot of life left in them. The conventional heads are the same, I fitted them and had a little knock around then swapped them with the mesh heads and they haven't been used since. I still have the plastic cymbals as well incase the new owner wants them.....Oh & I have the instruction book on how the set it all up as well. ;D
Reason for sale, well, I've not had much time to practice in recent months due to work & family commitments and I'm starting a college course in the evenings in a few months time so any time I have for practicing is going to be taken. I'd rather see this kit being used and helping another drummer practice their craft that have it sit collecting (more) dust.
Here's a link about the kit from Pearl's website;

You'll notice the shells are half depth, perfect for people with limited space and/or a small car! This kit would serve a beginner or intermediate player very well, I have put a realistic price of £150 on this kit. These retail for over £300 (even online) and for the options the kit gives it's owner I feel it's a good investment for someone who wants to practice but doesn't want to upset their neighbours (I have used this kit at 2 in the morning & next door didn't hear a thing!
Basically this kit is less than a year old & has seen about 5 months worth of use, so it's alot of life left in it! I've previously owned kits by Premier & Pearl & Pearl kits are good quality, hence why I brought this one.
Any questions (I've probably missed something) please ask away, collection from Milton Keynes...........Could get it delivered but won't be cheap.
Anyway here's some photo's;

All mesh heads (& live heads) are in good order.
