IT RUNS! Finally had a chance to fire it up and go for a ride up the drive today, the 125's got plenty of go, idles nicely without choke,cut-out switch now works after a loose wire was found. I've got about 2 bolts and 1 bracket to fit tomorrow then it's complete and ready for a strip down and final paint and prep, very excited!

can't wait to see a vid of it running down the road, another suggestion, maybe some sort of leather hip flask and spark plug holder like on a bugatti?

not the best shot, it seems im thinkin of something other then a bugatti, but you see the pockets on the right behind the steering wheel, it's for maps and thing, but i do have a shot some where with similar setup, filled with spark plugs.

It's got great lines, love cant of the engine, you could just imagine it on a long straight road in the desert going for miles. Mind you sorry but i have to say id hate to ride it at all, I know it would twist my pelvis. If you are going to take it any distance you should mount that tank on the frame not the forks(still up front tho), the sloshing around will hurt the accuracy and you'll just end up in the ditch. But on the other hand for something that you could put outside your moko shop it's fantastic!

Thanks TerraRoot, at the end of the day the seat angle and tank can be lived with, it'll never be a long distance bike in it's current format, hopefully just a couple of laps on the salt. still some work to do but pretty happy for the second bike we've ever built

Finished 'touching up' the frame paint and started re-assembly Gave the rear 'springs' a clean up (before and after) And started 'ageing' the motor

Well in the last few days I've 'aged' the motor a bit and fitted it back up: I also rewelded the tank brace (the previous welding was horrible as I was using cheap wire that was completely hopeless), sprayed the freshly welded parts then used steel wool to blend the fresh paint into the original black of the tank. Also decided to start adding some racing numbers. Cut out a stencil for our new business name, SUUS, and for a racing number (chose the bike's build year, 1967) from paper, held them up to the tank as well as possible: I wasn't too bothered by the overspray as I was planning to age the new decoration to fit with the rest of the bike. Amazingly the $3 automotive cream spray paint dried super quick, and after an hour or so I was able to get at it with some steel wool: I'm very pleased with the result once fitted to the bike:
