looks like the rusty nail Yamaha SR125 i bought as my "rat" bike... similar speed wise as well well 65 pushing it hard!.... off a cliff... got same idea, patch up the really bad bits, but keep it looking crap cos of lack of funds.... and its cheap to run, but still not as cheap as me cub 90!

Your right there, cubbies are the king of cheap. Real men ride cg's though It's now sporting pink gaiters (match the faded paint) to cover the horror that is the front stanchions. Lending it to a mate for the next few weeks as his courier bike got nicked and he needs a work hack. Looks like I'll be on my bicycle or maybe, maybe , maybe fixing up the Ural outfit...It's become a running joke now, really need to pull my finger out.

CG lasted 3 days on the circuit before puffing out in a hot huff. Gawd noes what's up with it? Since it coming home (involved pushing) it's had new plug, carb clean, swapped coil, rocker off to check valves, wiring checked back to pickup, fuel delivery checked, compression seems okish but the bugger won't even start on a bump now. Can't even get life with a barrel full of carb cleaner which is odd. CG slung in corner and commuting on bicycle whilst thinking of next move.

hat never happened /\ /\ /\ The old CG was bunged into a leaky lock up and all but forgotten about since the last post on this thread. But then, with sourcing a tank and seat for an idea I had I fought my way through the spiders webs and dragged it back out into the sunlight. It's a tad rustier than it already was! Apologies about the shody phone pics, forgot to replace the memory card in the camera. Here's a rough idea of where it's going. Clocks, winkers and chain guard have also been deleted for reasons of looks and increased weightlessness meaning more speed Still a non runner at present though whilst fitting some new points I noticed the top coil on the stator is a tad toasted. I've found a few which may fit as I've had no joy trying to find a complete stator plate secondhand for a decent price. To do; . Make it run . Chop off rear of frame and weld in a hoop to add strength . Fixorate tank to frame . Use the seat in the picture/make a new one. Undecided on this yet . Fit a rear lamp . Fit a speedo . MOT
